In addition to returning talent, the 18-skier roster has been made over with a nine-member first-year class, all hailing from Nordic skiing hotbeds, including three Minnesotans and two Norwegians ... veterans accumulated one top-10, five top-20 and eight top-30 performances last season.
KEY DATES
Five of the six Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA) carnivals this season are either in Vermont or just outside its borders ... Saint Michael's heads to Craftsbury on Friday and Saturday for the season-opening University of Vermont Carnival before returning there on Feb. 2-3 for the Harvard University Carnival ... the remainder of the slate features carnivals hosted by Colby College (Jan. 19-20), Dartmouth College (Feb. 9-10), Williams College (Feb. 16-17) and Middlebury College (Feb. 23-24), with Nordic events at the Williams Carnival in Woodford ... the Middlebury Carnival will triple as the EISA Championship and NCAA East Regional Championship ... the NCAA Championship heads west to Steamboat Springs, Colo., on March 6-9.
