COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College softball senior
Angelica Johns (Westbrook, Maine/Westbrook) landed on the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on Sunday, April 21.
Johns hit .367 with a .633 slugging percentage and a .405 on-base percentage during a 3-5 week, adding five runs, three doubles, a triple and a home run. She struck out only once in 32 plate appearances while picking up a hit in seven of eight games. The middle infielder turned in three multi-hit outings, going 2-for-5 with two runs in game two against The College of Saint Rose on Monday, 2-for-5 with a home run in the second contest with Southern New Hampshire University on Tuesday, and 3-for-4 with two runs and two doubles during the nightcap at Assumption University on Saturday.
Johns is tied for sixth in the NE10 in hits (39) and tied for eighth in batting average (.368) while slugging .500 and adding 19 runs, seven doubles and nine RBI. She is fifth in program history in career hits (126), tied for fifth in runs (55) and tied for sixth in doubles (22).
Saint Michael's is 10-20 overall and 6-10 in NE10 play heading into Tuesday's doubleheader at Saint Anselm College at 12 p.m. With six league contests remaining, all during the upcoming week, the Purple Knights trail Bentley University by one game for the eighth and final NE10 Championship position.
