COLCHESTER, Vt. - Eight Saint Michael's College softball student-athletes earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar-Athlete accolades this week after accumulating at least a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average through the 2023-24 school year.

Kaci Mollison (Gorham, Maine/Gorham) and
Maddy Vaughn (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) were among 53 Northeast-10 Conference student-athletes recognized.
Johns placed seventh in the NE10 in batting average (.358), tied for 10th in hits (43), and took 12th in slugging percentage (.517). She added 21 runs, 13 RBI, seven doubles and two home runs while walking six times and striking out on just five occasions this spring. The middle infielder graduated fifth in program history in career hits (130), fifth in runs (57), and tied for sixth in doubles (22). Welter swatted seven career home runs while walking 23 times, including on seven occasions during her senior spring.
Devens was named NE10 All-Conference for the third time and landed her second NFCA All-East Region accolade. Devens led the NE10 in batting average (.416), on-base percentage (.560) and walks (28) while taking third in slugging (.614). She set a school record for walks this season, striking out just 12 times, and added four home runs, 22 RBI, 11 runs, eight doubles and five times being hit by a pitch. Also one of two primary pitchers, Devens posted three victories in 12 games, including 11 starts, while striking out 28 batters in 60 innings. Heading into her senior year, Devens already holds school records for career home runs (21) and RBI (80). Parker made a career-high 17 of her 28 career appearances as junior, scoring three runs.
Edgerly put together a career year with 25 hits, 14 runs and five stolen bases while playing stellar defense in center field, where she picked up six assists. She batted .303 in her final 21 games, turning in three-hit outings at Bentley University and versus the University of New Haven.
Mollison collected six hits and three runs while seeing time at shortstop and in the outfield this past spring, while Vaughn, an outfielder, was hit by seven pitches and scored four runs. A utility player, Bessette did not make any appearances as a rookie.
