POTSDAM, N.Y. - The Saint Michael's College men's and women's swimming & diving teams both stood first among five schools after day one of State University of New York at Potsdam's two-day North Country Invitational on Friday at Maxcy Hall Pool.

NOTES

• The Purple Knight women won the first four swimming events and captured seven of eight on Friday en route to totaling 378.5 points, surging to a 173.5-point advantage over second-place Clarkson University.
• Despite winning only one event, the men (294) are up by 25 points over second-place Clarkson.
