Quintin Floyd (Windsor, Conn./Choate Rosemary Hall) was named Northeast 10 Conference Rookie of the Week for the week ending on Sunday, March 1, claiming the accolade for the fifth time this season, one short of the league lead.

Floyd turned in 16 points, four assists, four steals and three rebounds during an 87-82 loss at NE10 regular-season champion Saint Anselm College on Tuesday. In a 54-48 victory at third-seeded Pace University during the first round of the NE10 Championship on Saturday, Floyd led the sixth-seeded Purple Knights with 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting with three steals. A point guard, Floyd leads Saint Michael's in scoring (12.3) and assists (88) while placing second in steals (40) and three-pointers (44). He is tied for fourth in the NE10 in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.0), tied for eighth in steals per game (1.4), 11th in assists per game (3.0), 14th in free throw shooting (76.5%), and tied for 15th in scoring average. Floyd adds 3.6 rebounds.

At 17-12, the sixth-seeded Purple Knights host No. 7 Southern New Hampshire University on Wednesday for an NE10 Championship semifinal at 7 p.m. Saint Michael's was seventh in last week's NCAA East Region poll.
