COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College men's tennis team completed its home slate on Thursday by falling to regionally-ranked Le Moyne College, 9-0, in a match started on the SMC Tennis Courts and completed in the Tarrant Recreation Center.

In their first contest under new head coach Jason Hammel, the Purple Knights remain winless through seven outings overall, including six in the Northeast-10 Conference. The Dolphins, who hold down the eighth spot in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) East Region poll, are 8-4 overall and 5-2 in the NE10.

In the Purple and Gold's first match in 23 days, the first half of doubles was played on the SMC Tennis Courts, marking the Purple Knights' first outdoor spring home match before April since March 24, 2012. The Saint Michael's tandem that garnered the most points was its third-position duo, as senior Alex Mohbat (Beirut, Lebanon/Sagesse) and junior Jake Remillard (Saint Albans, Vt./BFA-Saint Albans) lost 8-3. Mohbat made his first appearance since April 17, 2016. Midway through doubles play, rain forced the completion of the match inside.

Junior Dan Foley (Wellesley, Mass./Wellesley) won six games while losing a 6-3, 6-3 decision at No. 2 singles, and Mohbat dropped a 6-3, 6-1 contest in the fifth spot during his collegiate singles debut. First-year Colby Antonacci (Bolton Valley, Vt./Mount Mansfield Union/Saint Anselm) fell by a 6-2, 6-2 count at No. 6. The Purple and Gold won 25 games during the match, its most against Le Moyne in two seasons.

The Purple Knights complete their regular season with four road matches in six days, beginning by facing Saint Anselm College on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
