Box Score COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College women's soccer team scored twice in the opening 12:14 en route to a 2-0 victory over the University of Maine at Fort Kent, the second-ranked team in the latest United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Division I national poll, on Thursday at Duffy Field.

- Just 4:55 into the game, Taylor lofted a shot from 25 yards out just under the crossbar and in.
- Ruprecht had a 10th-minute bid off of McCabe's corner kick service, but her header was bodied down just inside the left post by sophomore back Vinnette Blake.
- Ruprecht doubled the lead at 12:14, heading home McCabe's corner cross into the right side of the net.
- Senior Madeleine Morse (Brownsville, Vt./Windsor) floated a shot off the crossbar in the 21st minute before first-year Zoe Rogers (Shelton, Conn./Shelton) had a rebound denied by Mitchell at the left post.
- Junior Angely Carreno corralled a teammate's blocked shot and sent a second attempt just right of the frame from the top of the 18 during the 23rd minute.
- During the 34th minute, first-year Grace Rava (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) fell to the ground while heading a corner kick cross toward the left side of the goal, where Mitchell made a diving save to keep it 2-0.
- Junior Tonny Pereira deflected Blake's pass just over the frame from out front in the 48th minute.
- First-year Rileigh Cinquegrano (North Andover, Mass./North Andover) drilled the crossbar from the top of the 18 in the 53rd minute before Morse had a second bid knocked away by a rushing Mitchell. First-year Julia Rosano (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) headed a third effort over the net.
- Cinquegrano had another opportunity negated in the 67th minute by a sliding Breitfeld, who smothered the chance less than two minutes after entering the contest.
- Junior Melanie Roberge's (Chester, N.H./Pinkerton Academy) drive from the top of the 18 during the 76th minute was tipped over the crossbar by Breitfield, and Rogers just missed picking the upper left corner during the 82nd minute from the right side of the box.
