THE ACTION

• Gervais scored 5:06 into the first period when she intercepted a pass inside her own blue line and had a breakaway goal.
• The Sharks tied the game up at 13:44 on a pass from the left side of the ice by first-year Carrigan Umpherville to the front of the net for Dima, whose shot went through the legs of Simons for the goal.
• Kennard got her first goal of the game with nine seconds remaining in the first period when she intercepted a pass in front of the Shark net and shot to the top left corner of the goal.
• The Purple Knights extended their lead on a power-play goal 12:46 into the second period when Gervais passed to the front of the goal for Kennard, who shot the puck twice, scoring on the second shot.
• The final goal for the Purple Knights came with just 50 seconds remaining in the game when Sullivan lifted the puck out of the Saint Michael's zone and slid into an empty net during a Shark 6-on-4 power play.
