Men's Tennis Returns to Action After Month Layoff, Downs NVU-Lyndon

COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College men's tennis team returned to action for the first time in nearly a month to down in-state rival Northern Vermont University-Lyndon, 7-0, on Tuesday in the Tarrant Recreation Center. The Purple Knights began a run of five matches in eight days.

  • Allen and Foley completed the doubles sweep with a 6-2 win at No. 1.
  • Mosher and Remillard opened singles play by not dropping a game in wins at No. 3 and 5, respectively, to give the hosts a 3-0 lead.
  • Llona clinched his team's win by capturing a 6-0, 6-1 decision at No. 4 in his first career match playing that high in the lineup. Llona improved to 7-1 this season.
  • Barot claimed his first career win in his second singles appearance thanks to a 6-0, 6-0 score in the sixth spot.
