THE ACTION
- The Ravens had a power-play opportunity start with 12:31 gone in the first period where Simons made four saves, two of which came on Prentiss shots.
- The Purple Knights took the lead 25 seconds after the penalty kill when Saracco attempted to jam the puck into the net at the top of the Ravens' crease, and Harrison finally got the puck into the back of the net with 14:56 gone.
- A Raven power play saw Kison move into the slot 4:31 into the second period and take a shot aimed for the top right corner, but Simons made a glove save to deny the opportunity.
- The Purple Knights extended their lead with 7:10 gone on a shorthanded goal by Gervais when a defender had the puck slip by and Gervais had a breakaway toward the net, beating Ostrander with a shot into the top right corner.
- With 1:17 gone in the third period, Kelly skated with the puck behind the Ravens' net and drew two defenders then passed out front for senior Jordan Monbouquette (Wayland, Mass./Lawrence Academy), whose shot at the doorstep was saved by Ostrander.
- The Ravens cut the lead to one on a power-play goal 10:58 into the period after Kison pushed the puck toward goal and Prentiss blasted it into the right side of the net.
- Franklin Pierce pulled its goalie with 1:40 but Simons stopped two shots down the stretch and Saracco blocked another to keep the Ravens off the board and secure the win for the Purple Knights.
