WALTHAM, Mass. - Saint Michael's College men's tennis sophomores Jason Boucher (Bedford, N.H./Bedford) and Josh Weiss (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Mendon) both rallied to take their foes from regionally-ranked Bentley University to third-set tiebreakers during the Purple Knights' 7-0 loss on Thursday in Northeast-10 Conference action at Brandeis University's Gosman Sports Complex. The Falcons are eighth in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) East Region poll.

THE ACTION
- The Falcons took the opening two doubles matches to nab a 1-0 lead. Sophomores Connor Scott (Bellevue, Wash./Newport) and Tyler Whitney (Bedford, N.H./Bedford) teamed in the No. 2 spot while sophomores Jack Gunning (Bedford, N.H./Bedford) and Luke Ramsay (Bedford, N.H./Bedford) played at No. 3.
- In the top doubles position, sophomores Jason Boucher (Bedford, N.H./Bedford) and Josh Weiss (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Mendon) fell by a 6-2 count.
- Bentley players opened singles action with wins against Ramsay at No. 5, Gunning at No. 6 and Scott at No. 3, with Scott losing a 6-2, 6-1 decision to help the hosts clinch the match victory.
- Whitney suffered a 6-2, 6-2 setback in the fourth spot.
- In the first position, Weiss won his second set to force a tiebreaker before coming up short, 6-0, 1-6, 10-3.
- Boucher followed in similar fashion, holding off his opponent in the second set but losing a 6-2, 4-6, 10-6 contest at No. 2 to a player that moved to 3-1 this spring.
