Jordana DeMarinis (Beeton, Ontario/Cambridge Jr. Rivulettes) was among six student-athletes named to the New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) All-Rookie Team, as chosen by the league's coaches, on Friday.

Alicia McDonald (Clearwater, Fla./East Ottawa Junior Stars U22 AA) was put forward by her coaching staff for the NEWHA All-Sportswomanship Team.

After appearing in 15 regular-season contests, including making 13 starts, DeMarinis stands third in the NEWHA in saves per game (36.3) and holds a .919 save percentage and a 3.58 goals-against average. During league play alone, her figures stood at .929 and 2.88. After debuting with 53 saves in 46:19 against national power Clarkson University on Sept. 28, DeMarinis recorded a 34-save shutout of Post University on Oct. 12 in her first NEWHA outing. She has made at least 30 saves in 13 appearances, posting another 50 at Franklin Pierce University on Dec. 6 while notching 36 in a 3-1 victory at then-first-place Sacred Heart University on Feb. 7.

McDonald landed a laurel which recognizes one player from each of the NEWHA's eight programs, as nominated by their coaching staff. She has appeared in 33 of 34 games as a winger, turning in one goal and four assists while being penalized only six times. In a 3-2 win at Post on Jan. 11, McDonald assisted her team's first tally in a comeback from down two goals before potting the tying strike in a 2-1 win over Saint Anselm College on Jan. 18.
