FAST FACTS
Under the guidance of third-year head coach Lauren Brough, the first full-time head coach in program history, the Purple Knights qualified for the Northeast 10 Conference Championship each of the last two years after not previously qualifying since 1995 ... Saint Michael's was chosen fourth in the recent 2025 NE10 Preseason Coaches' Poll ... the Purple and Gold registered eight total NE10 wins the past two seasons, one more than its total from the previous eight years combined ... the Purple Knights collected their highest dig total in 12 years last fall ... Saint Michael's returns its top four in kills from the 2024 squad, while senior Ella Patterson (Folsom, Calif./Vista Del Lago), who paced the 2023 team in kills before losing last fall to injury, is also back ... Saint Michael's hosts its first in-season tournament since 1995 with the Sept. 5-6 Windjammer Classic. The five-team field is highlighted by NE10 counterpart Bentley University, a 2024 NCAA Division II Final Four qualifier, and the University of Nebraska at Kearney, which started last year 30-1 to stand No. 3 in the national poll before losing its final two matches. East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania qualified for a pair of NCAA Tournaments since 2019, while NE10 foe Franklin Pierce University joins Saint Michael's in rounding out the field.
