Rory Tower (Fountain Hills, Ariz./Desert Mountain) was named Northeast 10 Conference Rookie of the Week for the week ending on Sunday, Sept. 21.

Tower averaged 1.9 kills, 1.3 blocks and 1.2 digs per set during a 1-2 week while hitting .314. She also dropped two aces. Tower turned in five kills on .333 hitting with five blocks and four digs in a 3-0 win over the State University of New York at Plattsburgh on Tuesday before posting three kills, four blocks and two digs in a 3-0 loss to Post University, the lone undefeated team in the region, to open Saturday. In a 3-2 setback to Saint Thomas Aquinas College later in the day, Tower had 13 kills on .429 hitting with seven digs, five blocks and two aces.

For the season, Tower is second in the NE10 in blocks (41) and ninth in hitting percentage (.272). She adds 57 kills, 22 digs and 15 aces.
