COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College women's soccer sophomore Scarlett Brookes (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Knolls) was named Northeast 10 Conference Player of the Week for the week ending on Sunday, Sept. 7.
 
Brookes netted the opening goal in every contest of the Purple Knights' 3-0 start last week, finishing with five goals. After scoring in a 3-2 win against Millersville University on Thursday, she had both goals in a 2-1 win at Chestnut Hill College on Friday and two more during a 3-0 shutout at Post University on Sunday. Brookes netted the game-winner in the final two contests.
 
Brookes leads NCAA Division II in goals while standing tied for first in points (10). Over the weekend she became the first Purple Knight with consecutive multi-goal games since Suzanne Fontas '04 netted five goals between Aug. 31 and Sept. 1, 2002.
 
At 3-0, Saint Michael's leads Division II in wins. The Purple Knights visit Daemen University on Friday at 3 p.m.
