Guzman's Walk-Off Double Caps Comeback at Adelphi, Cavossa Sets Hits Record

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - Sophomore Jerry Guzman (Valley Cottage, N.Y./Brunswick School) hit a three-run walk-off double in the bottom of the 10th inning of the second half of a Northeast 10 Conference doubleheader on Sunday, lifting the Saint Michael's College baseball team over Adelphi University, 11-10. The Purple Knights played the home team at William J. Bonomo Memorial Field after the four-game weekend series was moved from Colchester, Vt. The Panthers won the opener, 8-5 in seven innings.

During the second contest, senior Sam Cavossa (East Falmouth, Mass./The Winchendon School) became the program's career hit king, breaking Alec Tice's '14 12-year-old school record.
