COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College men's lacrosse sophomore
Nate Gulachenski (Southboro, Mass./Algonquin Regional) was named Northeast 10 Conference Goalie of the Week for the week ending on Sunday, March 29.
Gulachenski made a career-high 19 saves in a 6-5 loss to sixth-ranked Pace University on Saturday, limiting a Setter team that entered the day averaging 14.0 goals. Pace scored only one goal in the opening 29:59 and three in the first 48:31, as Gulachenski and Saint Michael's held the Setters to their lowest goal total since the 2025 NE10 Championship title game. After appearing for 75 seconds as a first-year, Gulachenski has shared time in net as a sophomore, starting three times in five contests. He is fifth in the NE10 in both goals-against average (7.35) and save percentage (.618) while averaging 14.0 saves in his two complete games.
Now 20th in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) national poll, the Purple Knights are 6-2 overall and 1-2 in NE10 play. They visit No. 2 Saint Anselm College on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
