Keegan Burke (Amherst, N.H./Souhegan) was named Northeast 10 Conference Pitcher of the Week for the week ending on Sunday, April 12.

Burke posted an 0.82 earned run average across two starts last week, finishing 1-0 while yielding just seven hits in 11 innings and fanning 13 to only two walks. He held opponents to a .184 batting average. In an 11-6 win over Franklin Pierce University on Wednesday, Burke allowed one run on four hits in five innings, striking out nine without issuing a free pass. On three days' rest, he returned to the mound to blank 18th-ranked Bentley University on three hits over six innings on Sunday, striking out four and walking two. Burke left with a 1-0 lead but took the no-decision in a 5-2 loss. He limited a Falcon team that entered the weekend seventh in the nation in home runs per game, 30th in runs per game, and 37th in batting average.

Burke is 3-2 over eight appearances, all starts, this year, owning 36 strikeouts to only 11 walks in 43 innings. He is tied for seventh in the NE10 in innings pitched (43), tied for 13th in wins, and 14th in strikeouts. For his career, the righty is sixth in program history in strikeouts (147) and 15th in innings pitched (159.2).
