Gredenhag and Xu Earn College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Nods

COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College women's tennis rising senior Emma Gredenhag (Jacksonville, Fla./Bishop Kenny) and rising junior Jedidah Xu (Ellington, Conn./Ellington) both earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) NCAA Division II Academic All-District honors on Tuesday. They were among 15 Northeast 10 Conference student-athletes honored, with Gredenhag landing her second career CSC accolade and Xu her first.

Gredenhag entered the spring semester with a 3.72 cumulative grade-point average as an accounting and business administration double major. The second-year captain has landed on the NE10 Academic Honor Roll every semester and claimed a Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) Academic Achievement Award and Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athlete laurel last summer. Gredenhag notched seven wins out of the No. 3 singles slot this year and a 10-14 doubles mark across all three positions.

Xu had a 3.77 GPA as a business administration major. She earned NE10 Academic Honor Roll nods three times and a 2024-25 ITA Scholar-Athlete honor. She was 14-9 in singles as the Purple Knights' regular No. 4 while adding an 11-10 doubles showing, mostly from the No. 1 and 3 positions.

CSC recognizes major contributors toting at least a 3.50 GPA by their sophomore seasons who meet participation minimums. Each school was able to put a maximum number of student-athletes forward, with All-District qualifiers advancing directly to the Academic All-America ballot, which incorporates national membership voting. Through the Academic All-America program, CSC names Academic All-District and Academic All-America teams at each the NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II and NCAA Division III levels, while the College Division team combines NAIA, Canadian and two-year schools.
