Box Score COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College women's soccer team yielded only one goal to 18th-ranked Adelphi University during the first 68-plus minutes on Saturday before losing a 3-0 decision at Duffy Field during Northeast-10 Conference play.

- Adelphi broke through at 14:15, with senior Michelle Wienecke sending a ball over the top into the middle of the field for Scorce, who booted the ball up to herself and headed home the go-ahead goal.
- The Purple Knights averted further damage in the 35th minute, as first-year back Maggie Taylor (Lake Forest Park, Wash./Shorecrest) cleared senior Savannah Taylor's header off the line at the left post.
- Vallatini kept the hosts within 1-0 with a diving save to the left post on another Taylor shot during the 43rd minute.
- Junior Madeleine Morse (Brownsville, Vt./Windsor) sent a tying bid from 20 yards on net that was denied in the 52nd minute, and senior Emily Durette (Nashua, N.H./Nashua South) headed a bid wide during a corner sequence 15 minutes later.
- Scorce doubled the lead at 68:35, with a long cross bouncing in the box once before she fired into the right side.
- Senior Alex Matteo (Tolland, Conn./Tolland) nearly ended Adelphi's shutout streak at more than 420 minutes midway through the 83rd minute, ripping an attempt from 20 yards that Hofmeier barely tipped off the bottom of the crossbar and out. The Panthers countered nearly immediately at the other end, with Scorce firing a close-range shot that Vallatini stopped, but Rainey put home the rebound at 83:00.
