WORCESTER, Mass. - The Saint Michael's College women's soccer team yielded only two goals in the final 23:47 during a 2-0 loss to Assumption College on Wednesday during Northeast-10 Conference play at the Assumption Multi-Sport Stadium.

• Vallatini made five saves in the first half alone, keeping the game scoreless heading into halftime.
• During the 38th minute, junior Emma Mailman fired a shot during a corner kick sequence but had her bid cleared off the line by first-year back Brooke Caragher (Milton, Vt./Milton) for a team save. First-year Brooke English's follow-up attempt was off target.
• Senior Emily Durette (Nashua, N.H./Nashua South) lofted a pressured shot over the crossbar in the 53rd minute before Villemaire was denied by Vallatini less than a minute later.
• Villemaire struck for the game-winner at 66:13, finding the top left corner from out front.
• Junior Meghan Dieterle (Franklin, Mass./Franklin) sent a 75th-minute corner kick that did not lead to any game-tying shots.
• In the 87th minute, Villemaire broke out for a 1-on-1 chance with a Purple Knight defender before slipping a tough shot across the goal mouth for her second tally.
• Sophomore Tess McCabe's (Cataumet, Mass./Bourne) bid to end the shutout from 25 yards out was turned away by Hammer at the 88-minute mark.
