Box Score 2 WALTHAM, Mass. - The Saint Michael's College baseball team was swept by Bentley University, 18-4 and 5-2, during a Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader on Saturday at DeFelice Field. The twinbill, which featured a nine-inning opener and seven-inning nightcap, kicked off the teams' four-game weekend series.

THE ACTION
- Saint Michael's threatened immediately, with Moran singling and Giroux-Harvey walking in a scoreless top of the first.
- Bentley utilized two sac flies in the home half before Oetterer tripled and scored on junior John Luke Cianciolo's (Guilford, Conn./Guilford/New Haven) sac fly in the second, making it 2-1.
- The Falcons bunched 15 runs into the next five innings. Cacciatore's two-run double keyed a three-run second, Auditore knocked a two-run double in a five-run fourth, Zupkus and senior Kyle Halloran both doubled and scored in the fifth, and Cacciatore added another two-run double in a five-run sixth.
- The Purple Knights scored single runs in each of the final three frames. Rickert walked and scored in the seventh, Garcia picked up his first college hit in the eighth before coming around on sophomore Brady Perron's (Barton, Vt./Lake Region Union) RBI single, and Nicholson singled for the second time in three innings during the ninth before coming home later in the stanza.

- Garcia singled with one down and stole second in the second inning before scoring on a two-out error, but Bentley again forced a tie in the bottom half, with first-year Jackson Walonis tripling and scoring on Cacciatore's groundout.
- The hosts left two in scoring position in the third before Dushney and Cianciolo reached with two out in the fifth, with Cianciolo singling, but both were stranded.
- Junior Jose Martinez III (Manhattan, N.Y./Blair Academy) was hit by a pitch leading off the sixth before moving up on Rickert's sacrifice bunt, but the final two batters fanned.
- In the home half, Rodríguez retired the leadoff batter on a groundout prior to four of the next five Falcons singling, with the final hitter facing Moran out of the bullpen. Rizzuto and Sears knocked RBI singles around another run scoring on a wild pitch.
- Saint Michael's was set down in order in the seventh.
