- Escobedo came up with a big stop in the 39th minute, denying sophomore Dakota Cimetta's point-blank one-touch after getting in behind the defense.
- With Davis out of her net to play the ball, sophomore Claire Williams (Saint Leonard, Md./Calvert) had a look at the cage with a few field players in her way and sent a shot just left of the frame in the 47th minute.
- In the 82nd minute, sophomore Gabriela Garcia-Perez's through ball sent Fleming into the box, where she wove through defenders and ultimately slipped a shot into the lower left with 81:59.
- That proved to be the game's final shot. The Purple Knights had a throw-in deep in the Charger zone with fewer than 30 seconds left, but a giveaway was cleared into the Saint Michael's end, capping the threat.
