Quintin Floyd (Windsor, Conn./Choate Rosemary Hall) was named Northeast 10 Conference Rookie of the Week for the week ending on Sunday, Jan. 11, claiming the accolade for the third time this season.
Floyd averaged 18.5 points on 55.0% shooting and a 12-for-15 free throw effort (80.0%) with 3.5 steals, 2.5 assists and 2.0 rebounds during a 1-1 week. He scored 16 points with three assists and three steals in a 79-64 win at Southern New Hampshire University on Wednesday before totaling a career-high 21 points with four steals during a 77-75 loss to Adelphi University on Saturday. Floyd leads Saint Michael's in assists (48) while placing second in scoring (11.2) and steals (20). He is fifth in the NE10 in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.2), tied for 10th in assists per game (3.2), and tied for 15th in steals average (1.3). Floyd adds 3.8 rebounds while shooting 77.1% from the charity stripe.
At 9-6 overall and 3-2 in the NE10, the Purple Knights visit Franklin Pierce University on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
