COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College men's basketball first-year Quintin Floyd (Windsor, Conn./Choate Rosemary Hall) was named Northeast 10 Conference Rookie of the Week for the week ending on Sunday, Nov. 23.
 
Floyd averaged 14.5 points on 47.8% shooting with 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals during a 1-1 week. In a 65-63 win against Bowie State University on Saturday, he capped his first college start with the go-ahead three-point play in the closing seconds. He added two rebounds, two assists and a steal. During an 85-78 overtime loss at Saint Anselm College on Wednesday, Floyd had 14 points, six rebounds, three offensive boards, three assists and two steals. He averages 9.3 points on 44.1% shooting, 3.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.5 steals thus far this season.
 
The Purple Knights open their home slate on Tuesday with a non-league game against NE10 counterpart Southern New Hampshire University at 7 p.m.
