Marybeth has to be considered one of the top softball players in the history of the program at SaintMichael's. Although primarily known as a pitcher, Marybeth was a potent offensive force as well, and her sophomore season of 1978 reflected her versatility of talents. That spring, she was 8-2 on the mound, and batted .351. She still holds six College records, including most wins in a season (8, 1978), most wins in a career (14), and highest batting average by a pitcher in a season (.351, 1978). The Purple Knights enjoyed an unparalleled string of success during her career, winning 66 percent of their games - including a program-best 9-4 season in 1979. Marybeth was also a cheerleader, and served as manager of the women's basketball team for three years.

Marybeth now works as a customer sales representative for the Rockville Savings Bank in Somers, Conn., after serving as manager for the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals for 14 years. She is very involved in her community, volunteering at Somers Elementary School, and serving as a member of the Somers PTA. She is also Treasurer of the Somers Historical Society and volunteers with the Somers Beautification Committee. She and her husband Richard have two sons, and reside in Somers, Conn.
