Considered by many as the greatest outside hitter in the history of the volleyball program at Saint Michael’s, Jessica led the Knights through the most successful span in program history. After winning 20 matches in her first two seasons, the Purple Knights went 15-12 and 5-4 in the Northeast-10 Conference in her junior season of 1993, finishing 5th in the league standings. At the time of her induction nearly 20 years later, her senior season of 1994 ranks as the most successful in Purple Knights volleyball history. That fall, Jessica led the team to an overall record of 18-8, and a NE-10 mark of 6-3, recording 296 kills while hitting at 35.2%! The Knights finished third in the Conference that fall – their highest finish to date in the very competitive league – and also qualified for the ECAC Championship Tournament. Jessica was a force to be reckoned with at the net, and graduated as the program’s all-time leader in kills with 931 over her great career – a record she would hold for 16 years. She collected 547 kills over her final two seasons alone! Currently, she ranks second all-time at Saint Michael’s in career kills, and her career hitting percentage (.282) is third-best all time. Her 296 kills in her senior season of 1994 is still the fourth most prolific effort in program history. Jessica was a two-time All-Northeast-10 Conference selection, and led the team to 53 wins and four straight trips to the NE-10 Conference tournament during her illustrious career.
