The greatest second baseman in program history and a regular at the top of the batting order from day one, Casey was a three-time Northeast-10 Conference All-Conference honoree and three-time NE10 Academic All-Conference selection. Saint Michael’s was 90-71 in her four years, while Casey set or tied 14 school records over the course of her career, including for career hits, runs, triples, bases on balls and stolen bases, and season hits, runs, doubles and triples. Casey’s .398 career on-base percentage is the best by a Purple Knight since the program was reestablished in 1990. She batted .339 with 28 runs and fielded .957 in 2004, when the Purple Knights went 21-17 overall and 15-13 in the NE10 for their first winning season since 1981. Casey hit .293 with 30 runs and 18 RBIs as a sophomore, helping her team go 25-16 and 16-11. The Purple Knights made their NE10 Tournament debut that spring, advancing to the semifinals thanks to upsetting top seed and host Le Moyne College in the second round before suffering a pair of one-run setbacks. Casey had her best season in 2006, posting career highs in average (.364), slugging (.524) and on-base percentage (.422). In 2007, she hit .274 with career highs in home runs (5), RBIs (20), walks (18) and steals (16). With Casey serving as a captain, Saint Michael’s went 26-14 and 16-12 to set a school record for victories.
