Angela may be the greatest two-way player in field hockey history at Saint Michael’s, and was a key factor in the national success the program experienced at the turn of the 21st Century. Twice recognized as the Northeast-10 Conference’s best defensive player, she also collected 52 career points on 16 goals and 20 assists! Her 20 career assists is still the fourth highest total in program history. After the team went a combined 22-13 overall and 7-4 in the NE-10 over her first two years, the Knights became a national force in her junior year. In 2000, Saint Michael’s was 14-4 overall and 8-1 in the NE-10, capturing the NE-10 Regular Season Championship and advancing to the NCAA Division II Final Four. As a senior in 2001, Angela led the Knights to another NE-10 Regular Season title, and a return trip to the NCAA’s Final Four. That season, they were 14-6 overall, and a best-ever 9-1 in NE-10 play. Over the course of her career, the Knights were 50-23 overall and 24-6 in the NE-10, and were ranked nationally throughout her final two seasons. Her accolades were numerous: she was named All-Northeast-10 three times, NFHCA All-America twice, NE-10 Defensive Player of the Year twice, an ECAC All-Star, and to the 2001 NCAA Championship’s All-Tournament Team. She also received the College’s NCAA Woman Of The Year Award and the Roger F. Keleher '15 Award as Saint Michael’s College’s outstanding female scholar-athlete in 2001-02.
