Simply stated, Meggan is the greatest pitcher and most decorated student-athlete in the College’s softball history, as well as one of the greatest pitchers in the history of Northeast-10 Conference softball. She was a dominant force for the Knights from the first time she entered the circle as a rookie in the Spring of 2004. Over the course of her career, she amassed a record of 63-36, with 31 shutouts. She owns every single pitching record in the College’s record book, and set several Northeast-10 marks, too, including her 804 career strikeouts. A very tough competitor who loved to challenge hitters, she recorded 85 complete games (of 92 starts), and posted a career ERA of just 1.39 runs per game. A list of her accolades is impressive: the Northeast-10’s Rookie of the Year in 2004, she was a three-time All-Northeast-10 Conference selection, and two-time NE-10 Pitcher of the Year. She was also the 2007 Pitcher of the Year for Daktronics (Northeast Region) and the ECAC. At the close of her amazing career, she was named NCAA Daktronics All-Region, and was both the Northeast-10 and NCAA Division II/CCA Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year (Northeast Region) in 2007. An accomplished student, she was a four-time Commissioner’s Honor Roll recipient, and also received the College’s NCAA Woman of the Year and Victor V. LeMieux ’35 Awards in 2007.
