Jay was one of the most successful and highly decorated multi-sport male athletes in College history. In ice hockey, he was a powerful force at wing, and his 49-point senior season played a huge role in the Purple Knights' 1998 ECAC Central Division Championship. Over his stellar four-year career, he posted scoring totals of 66 goals and 101 assists for 167 total points, and graduated as the third-leading scorer in College history. At the time of his induction, he remains one of just two players in College history to collect over 100 career assists. He was a three-time All-ECAC honoree, and three-time NCAA Division II All American! Jay was part of the legendary "Knight Line," with classmates John Gurskis and Michel Dupont. The dominant trio re-wrote record books, shattering every line scoring record in Saint Michael's history, as well as several ECAC milestones. The Purple Knights won 58 games during his career, and were an outstanding 37-17-2 in ECAC League play. Jay was also a key member of the men's lacrosse team during a successful period in program history. A four-year starter at midfield, he was a three-time All Northeast-10 Conference selection. At the time of his induction, he still ranks among the program's all-time best in scoring, with career totals of 51 goals and 52 assists for 103 points.
