One of the greatest multi-sport athletes in the history of the College. Only captain of two sports in one season (baseball and tennis) ever at SMC. In basketball, he captained the team for two years, was named a Green Mountain Conference All-Star all four years, and named MVP of the Conference in 1935. On the baseball diamond, he was also a two-time team captain, and played four different positions in his career (first base, second base, shortstop, and pitcher). He was a four-time Green Mountain Conference All-Star, and had a career batting average of .327. He still holds the College record for career runs batted in with 48. In tennis, he also served as a captain for two years. Played as the #1 seed from 1933-35, and was very successful in match play. He served as president of the College's Athletic Association and was named Saint Michael's outstanding Athlete of the Year in 1935.
