Sarah was a two-time NFHCA All-America selection, earned Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Year as a senior, and remains the program’s top scorer among three-year players. Saint Michael’s was 36-17 overall and 15-4 in the NE10 during her career, culminating with the program’s first NCAA Division II Tournament appearance her senior year. The Purple Knights were also invited to compete in the 1999 ECAC Division II Tournament before winning their first NE10 regular-season title in 2000. Sarah graduated holding the program record for career assists (24) while fifth in points (68). She landed on the NE10 All-Conference first team all three years. After recording one goal and eight assists as a sophomore, Sarah totaled seven goals and four assists as a junior. The captain helped Saint Michael’s go 14-4 overall and 8-1 in league play as a senior, as the Purple Knights topped the NE10’s regular-season standings. Sarah recorded 14 goals and 12 assists to nab NE10 Player of the Year honors. During the semifinal round of the NE10 Tournament, Sarah netted the overtime game-winner against Bryant University for the first NE10 postseason victory in program history. After the title game was snowed out, the Purple Knights were chosen to make their NCAA Tournament debut, losing a 1-0 decision to Bentley University in a semifinal.
