Sean
remains a highly-respected star from the early days of the Purple Knights’ modern era, credited with helping set the tone for a former club program trying to find its footing as a competitive varsity outfit. The Purple Knights were 35-30-1 (33-22-1 ECAC North) during his three-year career, as Sean graduated top six in program history in career goals (34), assists (39) and points (73). He has been credited with elevating the careers of fellow Hall of Famers Chris Luca ’88 and Brian Mullahy ’89, and the 1987-88 season remains one of the finest by any line in program history. The trio set since-broken school records for goals (60), assists (68) and points (128) by a line and, while Luca and Mullahy had outstanding seasons, it was Sean who was ECAC North MVP, as the assistant captain tied school records for goals (23) and assists (25). After graduating, Sean began working for the New York Police Department. In the aftermath of the events of Sept. 11, 2001, Sean was among a select group of NYPD detectives recruited to serve in the Intelligence Division working on a multi-agency counterterrorism taskforce. After the April 2013 Boston Marathon bombing, the Nahant, Mass., native was reassigned to the Boston Police Department and tasked with assisting members of the Boston Regional Intelligence Center.
