A three-year starter and two-time captain, Mark developed a reputation as a clutch performer after scoring the winning basket with 1.2 seconds left in the 1999 NE-10 Tournament championship game, scoring 14 consecutive late points to help the Purple Knights win the 2000 ECAC Tournament title game, and helping Saint Michael’s overcome a late 16-point hole to win a 2001 NE-10 Tournament semifinal. Mark was named MVP of the 2000 ECAC Tournament and the 2001 NE-10 Tournament. A two-time NE-10 All-Conference selection, he was lauded as NABC All-Northeast District and NEBCA Co-Player of the Year as a senior. At induction, he remains second in program history in career games (121), third in free throw shooting (82.4%), fifth in steals (188), and ninth in scoring (1,621), assists (388) and free throws (357). During Mark’s career, Saint Michael’s qualified for two NCAA Tournaments, won two NE-10 Tournaments, and claimed an ECAC Tournament title. The Purple Knights’ historic 27-4 season in 2000-01 included an NE-10 regular-season crown behind a 19-3 league mark, and a No. 3 national ranking entering the NCAA Tournament, with their run ending in the Sweet 16. Over his career, the Purple Knights were 88-35 overall and 54-24 in NE-10 play. Mark won the prestigious Roger F. Keleher ’15 Award in 2001 as the College’s most outstanding senior male student-athlete.
