Megan was the first great women’s ice hockey player at Saint Michael’s, joining the program during its first full season of varsity competition in 2001-02. Not only did she graduate holding or tied for 11 school records, but Megan still claims nine more than a decade after her graduation, including for career points (86) and goals (47), and season points (29) and power-play goals (7). During her career, Megan had a hand in nearly half of the Purple Knights’ goals - 48.6% - in that four-year stretch. Megan led her team with 10 goals and 12 points as a freshman while also having the distinction of scoring the first power-play goal in program history. Megan shifted to a distributor role as a sophomore, leading the team with 15 assists and scoring eight goals while playing a role in nearly 60% of the Purple Knights’ goals. She led the team in goals (17), points (29) and power-play goals (7) while adding 12 assists as a junior, when she was an assistant captain. She led the ECAC East in power-play goals and tied for eighth in overall goals. As a second-year assistant captain her senior year, Megan was surrounded by more scoring depth than in the past but still led the squad with 22 points. She was second in goals (12) and third in assists (10) while becoming the first player in program history to earn ECAC East All-Conference, being chosen as an honorable mention.
