Jean is widely recognized as the greatest goalkeeper in College history. A four-year starter in the nets, Jean owns seven of the College's 12 goaltending records. She is the program's all-time leader in career saves (455), fewest goals allowed (44), shutouts (18), career goals-against-average (0.95) and career save percentage (91.2%). During her tenure, the Knights were a combined 38-25-3 (61.4%), and rose to become one of the Northeast Region's premier field hockey programs. In 1988, her goaltending was the difference in Saint Michael's 1988 ECAC Championship. She made 40 saves in the tournament's final two games (the final was a 1-0 win over Bentley), and was named the ECAC's Most Valuable Player. The following year, she was named a CFHCA All-America at the close of her senior season. Jean was also awarded the College's prestigious Roger Keleher Award in 1990, recognizing her as the College's outstanding senior student-athlete.
