Amy was an outstanding two-sport athlete in two very demanding disciplines. A three-time team captain in cross country, she was the Knights' top performer throughout her career, and was a two-time All-Northeast-10 Conference selection. She also captained the Nordic ski team for two seasons, and was only the second Nordic skier in Saint Michael's history, and the first in 15 years, to qualify for the NCAA National Championships. She earned her trip to the 1998 Nationals in Bozeman, Montana, with her fine performance at the NCAA Eastern Championships, where she was 13th in classical and 9th in freestyle racing. At the National Championships, facing the nation's most elite skiers from all three NCAA Divisions, she finished an impressive 32nd in the 5K Classical and 37th in the 15K Skate. Amy was also a highly-accomplished student, and was awarded the prestigious Roger F. Keleher '15 Memorial Award in 1998 as the College's outstanding female senior scholar-athlete. That same year, she was named an Academic All-American by the United States College Ski Coaches Association, an ECAC-Robins Scholar-Athlete, and was nominated for the NCAA's National Woman of the Year award. At the time of her induction, she remains a highly competitive athlete as one of the region's premier female marathoners.
