Jennifer was a remarkably versatile and skilled soccer player – one who made everyone around her better with her selfless, team-first approach to playing the game. During her four-year career with the Knights, she played forward, midfield, and fullback – sometimes making the position change at the request of her coach in the middle of a game. Coaches throughout the region recognized her considerable abilities at every position, and paid tribute by voting her All-New England three times and All Northeast-10 First Team twice! She was a fullback when her career began at Saint Michael’s, anchoring the team’s defense for her first two seasons. Jennifer played a vital role in the team’s 9-game shutout streak in 1989, when the Knights finished second in the NE-10. She was moved to midfield and forward as junior and senior to help spark the team’s offense. She led the team in scoring as a junior in 1991, with seven goals and four assists for 18 points. Jennifer captained the team as a junior and senior, and when she graduated, she ranked #7 on the program’s all-time scorer’s list, with 11 goals and nine assists for 31 points. During her career, the Knights won 28 games, going 16-13-5 in the NE-10, and qualified for Conference postseason play all four years.
