Kelly remains one of the top women’s lacrosse goalkeepers in NCAA Division II history and keyed the Purple Knights’ 1999 Northeast-10 Conference Championship. Upon induction, she still held the College’s records for career saves (621) and save percentage (65.5%), and was 28-14 in her career. As a rookie, Kelly posted a 6.92 GAA and a .647 save percentage, ranking sixth in all of Division I/II in the latter. She was named College Lacrosse USA Preseason All-America as a sophomore in 1998 before the historic 1999 season arrived, when the NE-10 first sponsored women’s lacrosse. Kelly registered a 7.25 GAA and a .714 save percentage, the latter not only a school record but also still the NCAA Division II record. Both of those figures led the nation that year. In the inaugural NE-10 title game, second-seeded Saint Michael’s downed No. 1 Stonehill, 10-9, as Kelly tied a school record with 33 saves. It was the first conference team sport championship ever won by a women’s program in College history, and she was named championship MVP, US Lacrosse All-America and NE-10 All-Conference. As a senior, her .649 save percentage was good for second in Division II, and her 224 saves that season remain a school record. A LaxPower Preseason All-America, the team co-captain ended the year as NE-10 All-Conference. Kelly received the 2000 Victor V. LeMieux ’35 Award.
