Jack was a tenacious, never-say-die point guard and team captain for the Purple Knights of the late 1960’s – leading the team during a storied era in Saint Michael’s Basketball history. He was the team’s top scorer as a junior in 1968-69 (16.7 points per game) and was second as a senior in 1969-70 (13.7 ppg). He averaged 11.7 points per game over his career and, as a play making guard, would certainly have had impressive assist totals if the statistic was kept during his time. Since graduating from Saint Michael’s with a bachelor’s degree in English, Jack has taken the skills he developed on and off the court in college to become a leader and playmaker in the Game of Life. A successful business owner, he has been substantially involved in community service efforts in Chittenden County and beyond for five decades, providing vital and personal support to a long list of worthwhile charities and organizations. Jack has also been a very loyal and valuable alumnus, friend, and consultant for the College and the Edmundite Community, serving as an Associate Trustee, on the Board of Directors for St. Anne’s Shrine, and in many different capacities of business advisement, development efforts, and career counseling of students. He has given much of himself to better the lives of many, embodying the College’s mission in his many selfless acts of kindness.
