Batalis is considered one of the greatest players in Lady Knight basketball history. A dominant guard/forward, at her time of induction, she ranks second on SMC's all-time scorer's list with 1,290 career points; just 71 points behind all-time leader and Charter Hall of Famer Kathy O'Neil '81. One of only six women to surpass 1,000 career points, Batalis still holds five individual records, including most assists in a game (16) and career field goals (518). She was SMC's all-time assist leader until Pam Nee '89 broke the record. In1983, Batalis was selected to the USA East National Team as a first alternate--the only Lady Knight ever to be selected to an Olympic-level national team. After her great senior season of 1984-85 she was named All-New England, and All-America honorable mention. During her career, the Lady Knights were 59-39 (60% win percentage), by far the most successful stretch in the program's 17 year history.
